With its relatively high standards of living and equitable tax rates, Singapore’s property market has managed to attract the rich and wealthy like moths to a flame. They take home big paychecks, meaning they’re bound to be able to afford bigger and better homes – including lavish apartments like OUE Twin Peaks.
You’ve probably heard of James Dyson’s oasis-like good class bungalow (GCB), or famous actor Jet Li’s $19.8M bungalow along Bukit Timah. Well here’s another celebrity who knows how to live luxuriously and splurge on property – Singapore-born singer-songwriter JJ Lin allegedly owns a 1-bedder that could be priced anywhere as high as $1.6M.

What has JJ Lin been up to?

We all know who JJ Lin is. The Singapore-born singer-songwriter and producer is based in Taiwan – he’s also the man behind iconic mandopop hits like If Only, Practice Love, and Little Dimples. And for someone who spends most of his time in Taiwan and mainland China, you might be wondering why he invested in a Singapore apartment that cost him over a million dollars.
Well, this pales in comparison to his properties in Taiwan – an $18.9M mansion in Taipei, 2 luxury high-rise apartment units that amount to a total of $19M in Neihu district, another $4.7M apartment in the same area, as well as a $3M home in Da’an district . So, he probably invested in his OUE Twin Peak apartment ‘cause he can.
Other than making his mark in the local property market, JJ Lin’s involved in the Metaverse business and recently co-founded an NFT community, ARC in July 2022. He’s also preparing for his first world tour since the outbreak of Covid-19, JJ20.

More on this the OUE Twin Peaks apartment, it measures up to 571sqft in floor area, sporting just 1 bedroom. While it’s unclear exactly which floor the unit is located at, it’s been reported that JJ Lin’s home in this 35-storey condo gives him picturesque views of the Orchard shopping district.
This condo is also home to one of Singapore’s most luxurious pools – from wade pools to jacuzzi pools, they’ve all been adorned with tiles that have Balinese motifs. With the frangipani trees and blossoms hanging overhead, it’ll truly feel like you’re living in Bali.
Located at Leonie Hill, this apartment complex is situated in a prime spot with amenities all around. Other than the many shopping malls along Orchard Road, there are premium medical clinics such as Raffles Medical and Mount Elizabeth Hospital that’re both within a 5-minute drive away.
In such a dense district, residents can also go car-lite – there are also many MRT stations that are a 10-minute walk away, including Orchard (NS22), Somerset (NS23), and Dhoby Ghaut (CC1).

Don’t underestimate a 1-bedroom apartment – the snazzy units at OUE Twin Peaks are spacious and luxurious. Taking a look at similar listings in the same development, many of the apartments have been beautifully furnished.
The living room fits up to a four-seater couch, with a wide balcony that overlooks either the condo’s facilities or bustling city streets. Many of these units showed an airy dining-kitchen area, as well as bedrooms that look like a luxury suite.

While 1-bedroom units at OUE Twin Peak have a floor area of 549sqft to 571sft, the development also offers 2- and 3-bedroom units that measure up to 1,604sqft – the price of properties here can go up to $4.78M.
Still, that’s not going to slow down buyers. In fact, JJ Lin’s not the only celebrity who set his eyes on OUE Twin Peaks – actor Jackie Chan and singer Wakin Chau have been reported to own 1-bedroom apartments here as well. These units are rumoured to average around $1.2M.
Other units in the area include Martin Modern, which has a sale price that can range up to $5.5M for a 4-bedroom unit; next to Orchard Paragon sits Cairnhill Nine, whose properties have sold for as high as $7M (4-bedroom unit).

Lately, there haven’t been many reports on JJ Lin’s local properties – yet we always seem curious about the everyday life of celebrities. From homes that look like seaside resorts to massive bungalows owned by CEOs of international businesses, Singapore isn’t short of homes owned by famous people.
