It’s no secret that Singapore is one of the world’s sleep-deprived cities, and there’s a good chance you know someone who’s always complaining about being tired. Now, being a bad sleeper could finally pay off.

Homegrown furniture brand Castlery is launching its first-ever mattress collection, Ayrie, and is looking for 5 people in Singapore to test it out over 20 consecutive nights as part of the Bad Sleeper Programme. Selected testers will get to keep their complimentary mattresses after the programme, and they’ll also receive a $2,000 Castlery cash voucher.

Here’s what’s in store for those used to spending most nights counting sheep.

How does Castlery’s Bad Sleeper Programme work?

Castlery’s Bad Sleeper Programme is like an unconventional job listing, recruiting 5 “bad sleep specialists” to become its mattress testers. Successful applicants will sleep on one of the brand’s new Ayrie mattresses for 20 consecutive nights, putting it through its paces in a real-life home setting.

Throughout the trial, testers will need to document their sleep setup and experience with 4 photos and 1 short video, along with a written review of 50 to 100 words submitted at the end of the programme. You don’t have to turn your bedroom into a professional filming setup either, as phone-quality footage is accepted.

In exchange for completing the 20-night trial and submitting the required content by 26th October, each tester walks away with their Ayrie mattress for free and a $2,000 Castlery cash voucher.

To apply, you’ll need a suitable bed frame and be available from 29th September to 18th October. More details on eligibility and the application process are available on Castlery’s website.

Castlery’s Ayrie Mattress collection starts from $999

The programme comes alongside the launch of Ayrie, Castlery’s latest mattress collection. Unlike your typical mattress-in-a-box, Ayrie mattresses arrive uncompressed, so you can start snoozing on it the very night it’s delivered. The mattress comes with a cool-to-the-touch Tencel Lyocell cover and is paired with gel-infused memory foam, making it especially comfortable on humid nights.

Catering to a wide variety of sleepers, there are 3 mattress styles to choose from: Ayrie (from $999) for a firm feel, Ayrie Comfort (from $1,799) for those who prefer a medium-firm mattress, and Ayrie Plush (from $2,199) for a medium touch. Each mattress also comes with a 10-year warranty, so you’re covered well beyond the trial period.
