Most home renos in Singapore have trended towards white backgrounds– some even make their entire homes white—so seeing this all-blue home feels very refreshing. And this $50K blue BTO reno definitely does serve as a rich monochromatic backdrop for all the features that add a fun, eclectic character to the place.
Folks seeking an alternative to cream-based interior design styles will want to have a peek at this.

A classy modern living room with soft furnishings & features

The blue-dominant palette is quite the breath of fresh air compared to the shades more commonly found in Singapore home renovations. But what your eyes will really be drawn to is the statement wall, where an arched alcove frames a set of mounted geometric art pieces. The shades on the artwork add a sense of warmth to the calming blueness of the living room.
Curves are another big part of the home reno, being also present on the rounded wall, with neat recessed shelving for trinkets. A lot of texturing also went into this area, with a nice cool duotone rug that contrasts cleanly against the ash wood panel laminate flooring.

Even the settee under the window is gently curved to soften the look of the room.

Quirky dining room with a warm aesthetic & arched motifs

The dining room presents a departure from the overall calming blue of this home. Orange seems to be the theme instead, with an arched alcove painted a lovely dark orange beside a warm reddish-toned wood slab dining table. The unique hexagonal dark turquoise clock definitely adds a touch of pleasant eccentricity to the place.
The arched panelled window partitions are stylish, making the space feel open without preventing you from being able to close up the kitchen when needed.

The warm lighting from the contemporary paper lamp above enhances the orange palette and when combined with the white walls here, it almost looks like an artistically abstract sunny-side up egg.

Chic mid-century modern kitchen with a novel backsplash
This sleek-looking kitchen is done in a mid-century modern style, but this time in a fashionably understated steel blue. The wood laminate countertop gives it a nice visual depth, and the kitchen overall seems to be going for a compact design.
They’ve managed to house plenty of appliances within this space though, and there are even spaces seemingly specifically measured to fit them, such as the microwave. This area actually used to be both the kitchen and the service yard, but the walls have been demolished to integrate the 2 spaces.
In place of the yard is a floating table facing the windows for the homeowners to enjoy a nice cuppa on a quiet morning.

Of note is the very nice maze-like geometric patterns on the backsplash that contrast well against the more muted colours and detailing found in the kitchen. For readers looking to emulate the shade of blue used in this kitchen, Comfort Home Interiors kindly informed us that the laminate is the EDL Euro’s Alps DSK 7774SM.
Art Deco bedroom with an impressive feature wall & pretty bathrooms
Arguably the most aesthetically pleasing part of the home, the exquisite navy blue wall serves as the perfect frame for the arched feature alcove, adorned with a fine Art Deco art piece.

The gold styling on the art piece pairs well with the ornate brass light fixtures that flank the bed.

Their bathrooms are also a feast for the eyes, with a pretty fish scale pattern tiling found on this wall. The rich shades of ocean blues give this bathroom a suitably aquatic quality; stare at it long enough and Sebastian might even leap out, belting out the lyrics of Under the Sea.
More patterns accompany the fish scale tiles here.

A $50K blue BTO reno filled with eclectic patterns
Theming a reno around a specific colour is an unconventional approach to interior design, but this blue BTO reno demonstrates that it does work out with proper planning. Comfort Home Interior, the ID behind this home reno, shared that it was made possible through a close working relationship with their clients.
More importantly, they were allowed the creative freedom to make this bold design possible.
