Among the countless listings on property sites, there are less than 15 condominiums in Singapore that offer seafront views. That’s why property agents mark them as premium listings, along with unimaginable prices to match. And speaking of premium housing, we came across one of the most expensive seafront condos in Singapore – the Seascape, located in Sentosa Cove.

The cost of an unfurnished 4-bedroom unit at the Seascape ranges from $9M to $10M, which is an asking price that most of us can afford only if we win the annual TOTO Hong Bao Draw. In this case, we are looking at a 383, 4-bedroom penthouse unit with renovation works done by ANSANA Interior Design & Fine Arts, which cost $230,000.

Residential areas offering sea views are highly sought after in Singapore, understandably due to the abundance of breeze and prime location it offers. The layout of the main living spaces of this condo maximises this by being strategically directly connected by the balcony, which invites prevailing winds to intersect the home.

Adding on to the atas and exuberant ambience of the house is an open bar is located on the spacious balcony. This alfresco bar is the perfect place to wind down after a long day, sipping on a cocktail while admiring in the breathtaking views.

Another fun fact is that every unit in this property has a private elevator that exits to the living room directly. If only HDBs were like this too – it would solve the first-world problem of struggling while carrying heavy groceries all the way from the lift to the units at the end of a very long corridor.

Including the open balcony, this penthouse unit has 130 of outdoor landscaping and a private swimming pool.

The main concept of the home is modelled after an art gallery, and every corner is designed to be a work of art. The public living areas are covered with polished stone tile flooring and textured walls, which lends a level of opulence to the interior. To complement the exhibition-like aesthetic, statues and curated art pieces are displayed along the corridors and unused corners.

As citizens of a land-scarce country, many of us dream of a spacious living room, especially one that opens up to an airy balcony. The living room of this Sentosa condo seems like the embodiment of our dreams – when the sliding doors are pushed aside, the balcony becomes an extension of the informal hosting room and creates a hybrid space.

Besides a generous collection of stylish furniture, the hallowed LED lighting wrapping the border of the living room also adds a touch of grandness to the space.

This kitchen design may not be grandmother-approved, but it is versatile enough to cater to budding home chefs. The dry kitchen is equipped with sleek induction stoves, a built-in oven, and a microwave. The modern kitchen equipment is nicely blended with the rest of the house with wood and marble carpentry.

Naturally, being able to purchase such a luxurious apartment means that the homeowners have a bigger budget to explore options in interior design. Case in point – each bedroom in this condo has a different concept, while still following the museum-like experience.

For instance, the master bedroom pays homage to Hollywood legend Audrey Hepburn, while one of the guest rooms sports brightly coloured walls and a contemporary playful design similar to a toy boutique.

Endless featured homes in magazines have shown that the use of marble in bathrooms is a reliable way to blend wet areas with the rest of the house. The choice of a monochromatic material palette neutralises the bold contrast between the spaces while maintaining the extravagance of the home.

Living in an exclusive district does come with many benefits. For one, you’d have access to high-quality facilities. The Seascape has 3 common pools: Sky Pool, Forest Pool, and Wading Pool. The Forest Pool and Wading Pool are both surrounded by lush greenery, while the Sky Pool is so close to the ocean that, when seen from specific angles, it looks like an extension of the sea.

Of course the architects had to make use of the prime location and the views it has to offer, which is why multiple terrace paths focusing around the perimeter of the plot were designed. This allows residents to take leisurely strolls while enjoying the best of nature.

Notably, residents at Seascape also have access to top-notch wellness amenities like the steam room and gymnasium.

Convenient transport to the mainland

It’s a common misconception that living in Sentosa means that venturing to the mainland is inconvenient.  After all, doorstep shuttle bus services terminating at VivoCity and Harbourfront Centre are available for the residents living in Sentosa Cove. On top of that, it’s only a 20-minute drive, tops, to town and CBD areas.

Although the idea of living in Sentosa wouldn’t grace our minds for more than a split second, it’s still fun to kaypoh and find out how the top 1% lives. Less than a 10-minute drive from other beaches in Sentosa, the Seascape is definitely the perfect housing location for thalassophiles. Now, all we need is to strike lottery.
