Halloween in Singapore has quietly grown into one of those “not-our-culture-but-we-love-it” events. Every October, certain neighbourhoods, from Opera Estate to Woodgrove, go all out with cobweb-covered porches, eerie lawn setups, and families decked out in everything from tiny vampires to full-on inflatable dinosaurs.
These estates have been keeping the Halloween spirit alive for years, and while not every celebration is officially confirmed yet, you can bet they’ll be some enthusiastic homeowners already kitting their homes out with spooky decor. Here are 7 best neighbourhoods in Singapore to hit up for trick-or-treating.

If you’re looking for that one neighbourhood Halloween experience in Singapore where costumes, candy, and community spirit come together, Woodgrove Estate in Woodlands ticks all the boxes. Since around 2007 the estate’s streets have been quietly reborn each Halloween, decked out like haunted sets, with delighted children trudging door-to-door for sweets.
Every 31st October, the Woodgrove Estate trick-or-treat route lights up from about 6:30pm to 9:30pm.

If you’ve seen the most talked-about Halloween displays in Singapore, chances are they’re on Montreal Road, Lagos Circle or Canada Road in the Sembawang Estate. These leafy colonial-era roads become a spooky spectacle every October: think life-sized skeletons, creepy clowns, cobwebs, and entire homes lit up for the candy-hunting crowd.

The setup has become a tradition, with residents here consistently going big. The same roads featured heavy displays in previous years, and with decor already going up and social posts surfacing, all signs point to another year of it.
So although we’re working off “tradition + hype” rather than an official programme, visiting these streets is a strong bet.

3. Watten Estate: A neighbourhood halloween with heart

Watten Estate in Bukit Timah has long been a favourite among Halloween regulars. Last year, the streets were lined with giant inflatable ghouls and creepy photo ops that wouldn’t look out of place in a theme park. It’s the kind of neighbourhood where residents go all out, every front yard becomes part of the show, and you can feel the buzz from blocks away.
Families from nearby neighbourhoods often drop by just to admire the creativity, and kids can spend hours roaming from door to door collecting sweets.
With a 4pm start for the youngest trick-or-treaters, and 5pm for everyone else, the Watten Residents’ Network truly goes the extra mile to ensure everyone has the best chance to fully enjoy the festivities.

For those who want a waste-free way to source costumes and decorations, the Watten Residents’ Network is also hosting a Halloween Fun Day in the run-up. On 17th Oct from 2pm to 4pm, participants can swap, donate or pick up pre-loved costumes and decorations to Watten Residents’ Hub. They can also take part in a Halloween handicraft workshop.
So, while the estate’s trick-or-treat trails bring out the neighbourhood charm, the RN event adds an extra dose of community fun, two different vibes, but all part of the same spooky spirit.

4. Opera Estate: Neighbourhood trick-or-treat & street deco
Opera Estate doesn’t just do Halloween; it owns it. Every year, the quiet streets of Siglap turn into a mini movie set, complete with glowing pumpkins, fog machines, and the occasional skeleton hanging off a gate like it pays rent. Easties really know how to throw a Halloween party, and Opera Estate proves it year after year.
