Rich people love collecting things. Some socialites have dozens upon dozens of exquisite leather bags, while others delight in the novelty of Bearbrick figurines. For tech entrepreneur Tommie Goh, his passion for supercars—Ferraris in particular—has made him and his house, aptly nicknamed the “Ferrari House”, legends in their own right.
The sprawling Good Class Bungalow along Ridley Park has been attracting legions of supercar spotters and curious onlookers alike, no thanks to the myriad of exotic supercars parked just behind the see-through fences. Here’s what we know about Tommie Goh’s GCB and his shrine to all things red.
Who is Tommie Goh?
Tommie Goh might not be a household name like some other business moguls in Singapore, but he’s no stranger to the Ultra-High-Net-Worth-Individual club. The businessman made his mark on the industry as the founder of JIT Holdings back in 1987; he then sold it to Flextronics in 2000 for S$1 billion. These days, he runs the private investment company 2G Capital.

It’s safe to say that Tommie and his family are long-time residents of Ridley Park. The original home’s design has plenty of warm brown tones in a neo-classical aesthetic, evoking an air of old-world luxury and grandeur without the pretence. Some have even likened its exterior to that of Raffles Town Club.
One of the home’s iconic features is the 3.5m tall eagle statue designed by sculptor Chester Fields, which usually retails for USS$850,000 (~S$1.1m).

Sometime between 2009 and 2013, Tommie bought out his neighbour at 2A Ridley Park for an estimated $30 million, expanding his domain with a new wing. The neighbour was rumoured to be Sam Goi, the “Popiah King” of Singapore. Tommie also moved his display of Ferrari cars to the new side of his house around this time.

The facade was also given a makeover around 2013-2015, going from the bronze hues to a more neutral sand and silver colour palette. Tommie also replaced the carport at the front entrance with one that fit the modern vibes of the new building.

To get a sense of how big his home is now, it took me 10 clicks on Google Street View to go from one end to the other.

Beyond the Ferraris he has on show, rumour is that he has plenty more cars stored in his underground garage, including actual Formula One cars manufactured by Ferrari. Some of the rarest models he owns include a Ferrari Enzo, of which there are only 400 made, and the even rarer Lamborghini Reventon Roadster, which is one of 15 ever made.

Alas, many of his cars aren’t road legal, saving Tommie hundreds of thousands in COE fees as there’s no point anyway. This also lets him put on vanity plates like “S3S” and “DISPLAY” for his prized cars.
