Now that we’re in 2022, here are our top picks of attractive properties that have completed their MOP and are available for resale.

For those who can’t wait to strike the BTO lottery, resale units are a viable alternative if you have the extra cash. In essence, the resale market is composed of BTO projects that have completed the minimum five years MOP. Now that we’re in 2022, here are our top picks of attractive properties that have completed their MOP and are available for resale.

North-East region

1. Punggol Edge

Punggol has been rapidly growing into one of the few newer estates coveted by new homeowners thanks to its impressive list of amenities such as Waterway Point and Punggol Waterway Park. In fact, two new malls are on the way as well, with Northshore Plaza I opening this October and Northshore Plaza II coming in Q1 of 2022.

Location wise, the nearest public transportation is a 5 minutes’ walk from Meridian LRT. Parents have their pick of both primary and secondary schools, with schools like Rivervale Primary School and Greendale Secondary School in the vicinity.

2. Compassvale Mast

Within the Sengkang area, Compassvale Mast is one of the larger property projects with a total of 928 units. 

 Foodies will definitely be interested in this area, as Sengkang is one of those underrated places with loads of hidden food gems.

The property itself is just a 2-minute walk away from SengKang MRT, and there are a good mix of schools in the area such as Nan Chiau Primary School, Nan Chiau High School, Seng Kang Secondary School, and CHIJ St. Joseph’s Convent.

For those who stand by the argument that the west side is the best side, no place reps the west better than Clementi. Although this HDB development is on the pricier side, Clementi Ridges is just a stone’s throw away from Clementi Mall, which has all the necessities one could need. 321 Clementi is also nearby, which has a cinema for you to catch the latest blockbusters and even a Fitness First to help you hit those new year resolutions.

Apart from being just a 5 minutes’ walk from Clementi MRT, the development is also a 23-minute drive from Orchard Road. Schools nearby include Nan Hua Primary School, Clementi Primary School, and Clementi Town Secondary School.

4. Teban View

Teban View is a quaint little neighbourhood located within Jurong East Town that’s close to a cluster of amenities such as Teban Gardens Supermarket, Sheng Shiong, and FairPrice, making grocery shopping a breeze. 

On the downside, the nearest MRT station which is Jurong East MRT is a 15-minute bus ride away. Those driving on the other hand shouldn’t mind this minor inconvenience as Orchard is a reasonable 20-minute drive away. 

Families should note that in terms of schools, options are limited with Commonwealth Secondary School being the only option nearby. 

5. Skyline I@Bukit Batok

Aptly named for its impressive height, Skyline I@Bukit Batok is a 36-storey-tall HDB development with a staggering 1,232 units – classifying it as one of the 100+ HDB flats of that height range in Singapore. Its twin, Skyline II@Bukit Batok, is located right next to it, has a whopping 38 floors and reaches its MOP this year. Communal amenities of the development include a mini-mart, a childcare centre, and an eating house. The closest MRT station is Bukit Batok MRT, a 14-minute walk away.

Schools in that area include Bukit View Primary School, Keming Primary School, and Bukit View Secondary School.

True to its name, Palm Breeze@Yishun is surrounded by palm trees, and the architecture of its unique rooftop reflects a gentle breeze. These blocks of flats are located directly opposite Wisteria Mall, which has everything one would need from enrichment centres like Newcastle Learning Hub and My English School to supermarkets like Fairprice Finest. 

Khatib MRT is less than 850m away, making it easily accessible even if you choose to walk. Naval Base Primary School, Northland Primary School, and Orchid Park Secondary School are some of the schools in the area.

Another skyscraper on the list is Tenteram Peak in the area of Kallang/Whampoa. These impressive 31-storey blocks are located right alongside the Central Expressway (CTE), allowing you easy access to other parts of the city. However, a few drawbacks would be the noise level, and the fact that the nearest MRT station, Boon Keng, is 3km away. 

Young couples looking to settle down and start families can expect the following schools nearby: Hong Wen School, Bendemeer Secondary School, St. Andrew’s Junior School, and St. Andrew’s Secondary School.
