ICYMI, we’ve been blessed with Climate Vouchers, thanks to the Singapore Government, with each household eligible for up to $400 worth over the last two years. If you haven’t used your vouchers, which expire on 31st December 2027, you can spend them on 12 types of energy- and water-efficient household products, which you can’t possibly go without in your new home.

- Air-conditioners (5 ticks)
- Direct current fans (2 ticks & above)
- LED lights (2 ticks & above)
- Water heaters (5 ticks)
- Washing machines (4 ticks)
- Shower fittings (3 ticks)

- Basin taps and mixers (3 ticks)
- Induction stoves (5 ticks)
- Clothes dryers (5 ticks)
It’s so easy to use these vouchers, whether you’re looking at the big retailers like Best Denki, COURTS, Gain City, or Harvey Norman, or independent stores islandwide. On that note, if you’re looking at smaller retailers, you could even stack them with other government rebates, such as the CDC vouchers, which by the way expire this year, on 31st December 2026.
Plus, these vouchers can be stacked with store and credit card promos, or a DBS Instalment Payment Plan (IPP), but more on that later.

2. Time your purchase around retail promotions
No longer do we have to camp for the GSS to come around. These days, every major retailer now runs its own promotional cycle: festive sales, double-day sales, payday sales, anniversary sales, warehouse clearances, group buy events; even international sale events like Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
This means that with a bit of planning, there is almost always a deal running on something you need.
