Even from Shaw House across the road, the brand new Castlery at Liat Towers is easy to spot. The flagship store sits atop a flight of stairs and sports a posh entrance with a huge logo, making it hard to miss.
Step in, and you’ll find that the store’s interior is just as impressive as its entrance. Spanning 24,000sqft and 2 storeys tall, the flagship store sells over 500 furniture items – more than twice the number sold at their previous store. While its doors are already open to the public, an official grand opening will take place from 8th-9th October 2022. Here’s what to expect:
1. Shop store-exclusive furniture & promos
Look out for “studio exclusive” signs around the store.
One of the biggest perks of visiting the Castlery’s flagship store is that you’ll get to shop for store-exclusive items that aren’t available online. These aren’t just small items or knick-knacks either – we’re talking major purchases like sofa sets and tables.
There are also studio-exclusive promos to look out for, including 10% discounts on selected products, so be sure to keep a lookout when you browse around.
2. Browse new furniture sets
The Marlow Bouclé sofas are buildable, so you can “build it” to fit your family size regardless of size.
Alongside the store’s launch, Castlery has also unveiled new sofa sets. If you’re a young parent with mischievous tots, we recommend checking out the Marlow Bouclé line.
While in many cases, light-coloured furniture in a house with kids is a setting for disaster, the posh Marlow Bouclé sets are made of a “kid-proof” material that’s water resistant. So parents, you’ll no longer have to worry about your little ones spilling drinks and staining the couch.
The couch sets also come in different sizes, with its smallest unit (from $649) fitting just 1-2 pax. These can be put together to form larger sofas, making the sofa ideal for both small and large families.
3. Bring home “cash and carry” items on the spot
Besides selling large furniture items, the Castlery flagship also stocks up on lots of homeware essentials including pillows, hand woven rugs and bedding. You can find all these conveniently placed in the “cash and carry” corner of the store, where you’ll be able to check out on the spot instead if you’re averse to the waiting time that comes with an online order.
4. Thoughtful interior design
The Castlery’s interior doesn’t disappoint. It’s got a cosy and clean look, thanks to its neatly organised layout and warm lighting. In addition, the spacious store also has thoughtfully designed details that help to elevate its ambience.
Take this ceiling piece, for example – located between the escalators in the middle of the store, the stand-out deco piece spells “Castlery” in a mediaeval castle-inspired design with geometric elements.
The 2nd floor also features showroom-like spaces decorated with different furniture sets. Castlery co-founder, Declan Ee, said the decor was intentionally kept simple in order for customers to better visualise their own living spaces.
5. Enjoy customer-friendly facilities
To top off the detailed interior design, visitors can also look forward to utilising customer-friendly facilities that’ll make shopping at Castlery way more convenient.
As you walk around the store, you’ll notice a couple of digital stations. You’ll be able to purchase items via these stations, so you won’t have to spend excessive amounts of time queuing up at the front counter when it’s crowded.
Parents would understand the struggle that comes along with bringing babies out – you’ll have to factor in things like diaper changes, feeding times and random temper tantrums. Castlery has a dedicated changing and nursing room, so you’ll be able to tend to your little one even if an “accident” occurs midway through furniture shopping.
