Casual and hardcore gamers alike, this one’s for you. IKEA has teamed up with Xbox for its new YXSTABY collection, a 9-piece gaming furniture range inspired by familiar shapes and details from the Xbox controller. The designs are subtle enough to pass as everyday furniture too, so your home won’t end up looking like a gaming arena.
The collection lands in IKEA stores on 2nd October and online on 8th October, with each shopper limited to 2 of each product in stores. Here are the standout pieces worth checking out:
Flexible gaming furniture for the living room

The YXSTABY gaming TV stand on castors ($149) puts your screen on wheels, so you can roll it closer to the sofa, game from the floor, or even move your setup to the bedroom. The stand also comes with a display shelf at the bottom, for convenient storage.
Hooks and Velcro straps keep cables neatly tucked away.
If cable management is your nemesis, the stand has hooks and Velcro straps at the back to keep wires and headphones tidy. There’s also a small tray to hold a power extension, so you only have one main wire to deal with.
The YXSTABY gaming lounge chair ($129) in beige comes with its own clever storage too. A mesh pocket underneath the seat keeps lounging essentials within reach, whether that’s a book or your handheld console.
It’s light enough to shift around whenever you need an extra seat, and the height-adjustable headrest means the whole family can use it comfortably.
The YXSTABY gaming side table on castors ($169) offers handy storage for controllers, with an opening inside for charging devices without messy cables. For non-gamers, its portable design and hidden storage make it a practical everyday side table for keeping snacks and other essentials within reach.
Xbox controller-inspired items from $19.90
YXSTABY gaming thumbstick stool (left), gaming D-pad cushion and controller platter (right).
For additional seating when friends come over, there’s the YXSTABY gaming thumbstick stool ($59.90), available in black or Xbox’s signature green. It’s a statement piece for the living room, modelled after a supersized controller thumbstick right down to its diamond-patterned grip.
Fidgety gamers might appreciate the curved base, which lets you shift and rock slightly while you play. Rubber rings underneath provide extra grip and stability, so it stays put during intense gaming sessions.
Another Xbox controller-inspired piece is the YXSTABY gaming D-pad cushion ($19.90), handy if long gaming sessions tend to leave you with numb arms. Beyond adding a pop of green to the sofa, it doubles as an armrest for propping up your elbows while you play.
Similarly, the YXSTABY gaming D-pad controller platter ($19.90) turns the familiar directional pad into a 33cm stainless steel dish, perfect as a coffee table centrepiece or as a trinket tray.
Gaming accessories for a tidier desk setup
For WFH setups that always seem to get cluttered, the YXSTABY gaming monitor stand ($49.90) helps keep both home offices and PC gaming setups neat. It raises your screens to a more comfortable height while freeing up desk space underneath, with a cable hole and 3 removable hooks for headphones, controllers, and other accessories.
Laptop users aren’t left out either. The YXSTABY gaming laptop support with storage ($39.90) has a toolbox-style design that props your laptop up to a more comfortable height, with storage inside for your headset and other accessories, plus enough space to tuck your laptop away snugly.
To finish off your desk area, the YXSTABY gaming controller display box ($29.90 each) gives limited-edition controllers a proper showcase.
Its reflective interior lets you see the controller from different angles, while a plastic holder keeps it suspended in the centre. You can also remove the holder to display other collectibles or ling ling long longs.
IKEA YXSTABY collection
The YXSTABY launch is part of IKEA Singapore’s Play Festival, with gaming events at IKEA Alexandra from 3rd to 4th October. Expect family gaming experiences, quick-match tournaments where the top player wins $1,000 worth of vouchers, and a cosplay parade.
There’s more coming to IKEA this month too, including the ALPTALL collection and its Pallas’s cat plushie that’s been making waves online. If it’s the Xbox collection you’re after, YXSTABY launches in stores on 2nd October, as in-store purchases are capped at 2 per item.
