Once upon a childhood princess dream, most little girls might have wanted everything in pink. Pink house, pink shoes, pink hair━you name it. This walk-up resale flat in the east that we spotted on the web sphere is exactly that: a pastel pink castle in the clouds.
Done up by ID studio Treasure Pod, the $143k renovation transformed the East Coast apartment into a dreamy pink home, complete with soft curves, arches, and the walk-in wardrobe of every girl’s fantasy.
Minimal, wabi-sabi living room with a pink twist

Cappadocia cave hotel, but pink: that’s what comes to mind as you walk into this pink walk-up flat. Unlike the earthy, orange-brown hues and dim cosiness that you might associate with a cave, the pastel pinks of this apartment, coupled with strategically positioned down lights, give the whole space a soft glow.
For congruency and that feeling of being ensconced in a warm embrace, the walls and ceilings of this apartment have been limewashed pink, adding texture and a cloud-like dreaminess to what would otherwise be a rather flat colour.

Rather than having cabinetry break up the organic lines of the living room, recessed shelves have been cut out of the main feature wall, with a wall-mounted TV and a simple, dual-height low console beneath━again featuring a curved, oval shape, in a complementary off-white and light oak finish.

A matching coffee table, pink sofa with ottoman, and patterned pink-and-white rug are the finishing touches to this room.

Breaking convention is the angled dining table that follows the irregular shape of the dining room, which is distinctly split from the living area by a windowed wall and arched doorway. These demarcate the two areas, while allowing daylight through the home, thereby ensuring the entire apartment still looks spacious.

Yet another function of this room divider has given the homeowners additional storage space in the form of half-height cabinetry, as well as counter space for a home cafe setup. Again, we see rounded corners, with fluted lamp shades over the dining table matching the cylindrical, fluted table legs, all contribute to the organic, soft lines of this flat.
Master bedroom with showroom-worthy walk-in wardrobe

Nowhere is the minimalist theme of this pink walk-up apartment’s makeover as evident as in the master bedroom, where there are next to no embellishments, apart from what’s necessary━a pair of matching curved teak bedside tables and wall sconce lamps, while pale linen-coloured ripple fold curtains match the headboard.

What this does is allow the natural wood grain of the warm oak divider to take centre stage in the master bedroom. Matching recessed shelves hold a soundbar and AC so nothing sticks out obtrusively.

As much as the divider is unfussy on that side, it curves around to reveal a stretch of glass-doored wardrobes on the other, plus a vanity table with more recessed shelves for storage.
Glass doors and warm strip lighting lend the walk-in wardrobe a sophisticated touch.

The same warm oak from the bedroom is the primary colour of the kitchen in this pink walk-up apartment. It departs from the pink-dominant home, without veering too far off━in fact, the limewashed pink ceiling of the kitchen brings the colour into this room, too.

Luxe touches come in the form of shiny gold fixtures, and a bronze-framed, panelled glass sliding door with fluted glass to separate the kitchen from the service yard beyond. Homogenous speckled stone counters and backsplashes on both sides of the kitchen complete the sleek, elegant look.
