Hello 2022,  the year of the Water Tiger. Now that we’ve got more open travel lanes – here we come Bali! – and a fresh 3,930 units up for grabs in Geylang, Kallang Whampoa, Tengah and Yishun. Things seem to be looking up.

From Singapore’s first car-free town, to the first BTO launch along Old Airport Road after 15 years, the selection to just choose one neighbourhood will be hard. Here’s a rundown of the newest HDB BTO flat launches this February:

We know, we know – Yishun has a reputation but despite the stories, it truly is a hidden gem on the Little Red Dot. When you live in Yishun, you get the best of both worlds: decent commute, beautiful nature activities and a conversation starter when you say “I live in Yishun…”. 

Do you want to know what’s scary in Yishun? The amount of delicious food there is available at your doorstep: hello Springleaf Prata and Chong Pang Nasi Lemak!

Geylang is the perfect middle between the “high vibe city life” and “culture vulture destination”, without paying the premium price.  Found along Old Airport Road smack in the middle of Mountbatten MRT and Dakota MRT Station, – it is on the city-fringe with convenient transport to Orchard, the CBD and even to vibrant spots in the East such as Joo Chiat.

Kallang Whampoa is one of Singapore’s cultural neighbourhoods. Similar to Geylang, it is on the city-fringe giving you great connectivity to the city centre and it is a stone throw-away from Singapore’s most recognised food havens: Jalan Besar, Kampong Glam and Little India.

It is the perfect neighbourhood for couples who love to entertain, or have a bustling social life. With places like The Projector, The Drama Centre at the National Library and Haji Lane nearby, there will always be something to do. For shoppers, Bugis + and Bugis Junction are just a 15-minute walk from your doorstep, and let’s not forget the 10-minute walk to Mustafa Centre.
