National Day is fast approaching, and to celebrate SG60, IKEA is rolling out a slew of exciting deals, local-inspired dishes, as well as a curated range of family-friendly activities, from 7th to 11th August 2025.
While the limited edition dishes and National Day-themed activities are in-store only, the discounted products are also available online.
Discounted home furnishing & special deals for $6 to $60
As part of the SG60 celebrations, IKEA will be discounting over 100 home furnishing products, from decor essentials such as cushion covers and door mats to staples such as shelving units and home office set-ups.

In particular, the BJÖRKÅSEN folding table (U.P. $99) is set to go for just $6 as part of the promotion. Do note that this deal is limited to 60 pieces per IKEA store per day, so you gotta move fast when the sale starts.

There’s also the NACKANÄS dining chair ($60, U.P. $75), made of solid acacia wood. The sturdy construction and neutral colour means that this chair can not just withstand daily use, but also suit a variety of decor styles through the years as your interior design tastes evolve.

Don’t forget to check out the RANARP floor/reading lamp ($60, U.P. $85), a bestselling IKEA staple. The adjustable reading lamp is made of steel and has a steady base so it won’t topple over easily when you’re deeply engrossed in the pages of a novel.
Besides the $6 and $60 deals, so priced in celebration of Singapore’s 60th birthday, there are also plenty of other discounted home furnishings worth checking out.

One notable example is the BONDSKÄRET hat/coat stand ($29.90, U.P. $59), which was designed by Rutger Andersson in 1978. Despite its retro nature, the timeless design of the coat stand means that it’ll fit in seamlessly even in modern homes.

But if you have a penchant for old-timey furnishings, we recommend picking up the ALMARÖD mirror ($89, U.P. $195). The matte black frame is accented with a thin golden line that gives it an Art Deco feel without an eye-watering price tag.
$6 IKEA local-inspired eats to celebrate SG60

Singaporeans are big foodies, so it makes sense that IKEA is celebrating the nation’s big 60 by serving up local-inspired dishes for cheap.

The petite durian cake, 6-piece chicken wings, crayfish with garlic sauce, and 6-piece curry puffs will go for just $6 from 7th to 11th August for IKEA Family members. Besides these attractively priced dishes, we also recommend checking out the durian egg tarts ($3.50) and durian mille crepe ($6.90), both of which marry local flavours with international cuisine.
Family-friendly activities for the kids

Besides shopping and eating—arguably two of our nation’s favourite pastimes—IKEA also has a whole programme of SG60 activities planned for the little ones.

There’s the adorable otter-themed scavenger hunt where kids have to scour the stores for 6 hidden otters, each accompanied by a question. Answer these questions correctly and they’ll receive a token of participation. This scavenger hunt is open to kids aged 5 to 12 years old.

For a sit-down activity, consider the “Otterly fan craft” workshop on 10th August. Kids aged between 5 to 12 years old can create their own red-and-white paper fans featuring Singapore’s favourite animal mascot, the otter—no shade to any Merlions out there.

Interestingly, there’s a fair bit of crayfish-related branding in IKEA’s SG60 rollout. That’s because the festivities coincide with Kräftskiva, an annual summertime Swedish crayfish party. Kräftskiva happens to fall on 8th August this year, and on that day, your kids get to make their own little origami crayfish in our nation’s representative colours.
This activity is open to children aged 5 to 12 years old. But don’t worry if origami isn’t your child’s strong suit. You can still take part in festivities by visiting the food hall and indulging in a few plates of crayfish smothered in garlic sauce ($6).
